Administration
Robert Mountcastle, M.D., part of the original group, is still involved administratively, but is no longer seeing patients. He is a Roanoke native who received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia in 1971. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1979. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at the Shands and Veterans Administration, University of Florida in 1982 and his endocrinology training at the University of South Carolina in 1984. He joined Internal Medicine Associates in 1984.
